Hepatitis B is a viral infection of the liver caused by the hepatitis B virus, spread through blood and body fluids via unprotected sex, sharing needles or injuries, sharing razors or from mother to baby.
Who should get it?
✔travellers entering a high risk area
✔workers who may come into contact with patients’ blood,
blood-stained body fluids or tissues
✔occupational risk of sharps exposure/needlestick injury
✔drug users or individuals at risk of injury from blood
contaminated sharps
✔individuals with high risk sexual behaviour
Dose:
3 recommended within a 21 day timeframe.
