The Human Papilloma Virus vaccine protects against the most common high-risk HPV types that cause cancers (especially cervical, throat, anal).
Who should get it:
✔Best before sexual activity, but still very useful later
✔Recommended for all genders
✔Often given routinely in teens, from the age of 9, but adults can get it too
Doses:
1 recommended for under 25's
2 recommended for 25 - 45yrs within 6 months.
3 recommended if immunocompromised or with HIV over a 3 month period.
